I've decided to separate the July favourites into fashion and beauty. So first up is beauty with 4 products I've discovered this month and a couple I have been using for a little while.
White Musk Libertine Eau De Toilette - I have been using this perfume for a good few months and I love it so much! It is the perfect perfume to wear during the daytime because it's not too overpowering with its floral scent. I own other perfumes like Armani and Vera Wang but I see them as more special occasion/nighttime perfumes. The only downside is that it can wear off quite quickly so using it twice a day is recommended, especially in the hot weather if you sweat a little. However, you cannot fault the perfume with its price tag. (Available from The Body Shop for £10 for 30ml, £15 for 60ml and £20 for 100ml)
Vera Wang Lovestruck Body Lotion - So this find was completely accidental. My brother bought me Lovestruck perfume for Christmas, and the body lotion and shower gel came with it. I rarely use the products that come with perfumes but I thought this one smelt amazing. I'm so glad I gave it a go! Its velvety texture feels amazing on the skin, particularly on the legs after a long day of being in the sun. If you get dry skin in this weather like me (with the exception of my face, which is massively oily) then you'll love this lotion. (Available from House of Fraser for £22 for 150ml)
Tea Tree Blotting Tissues - Another purchase from The Body Shop came just last week when I used a blotting tissue off someone. They are little sheets of sugar paper - well, not really sugar paper but it definitely feels like it! They soak up all the excess oil on your face, which is a definite problem during a heatwave like this. The only downside is you'll have to use a couple of sheets to get rid of the oil but you get 65 sheets in a pack so it's not a massive problem. The Body Shop also have powder to rid you of sweat but I prefer these sheets. (Available from The Body Shop for £5)
L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo - I've been using this shampoo for about a month now and it's one of my favourites. It's designed for fine to normal to dull hair and makes your hair feel silky even after the first wash. The best results come when your hair is blow dried. The shampoo contains Mirco-Crystals to make the hair shiny and soft. It might not be the best product for greasy hair but I'd definitely recommend this if you're going on a night out. (Available from Boots for £3.99)
much love,
Cally
