HAUL | BOOTS AND THE BODY SHOP

Monday, 4 November 2013

I had the urge to do a bit of shopping over the weekend. I needed new foundation and I wanted to spend the voucher that I got from Glamour magazine. I got some products from Boots and The Body Shop, and I thought I'd share them with you all.

White Musk Smoky Rose Body Lotion (£10)

I had a £3 voucher from Glamour magazine so I wanted to use it asap. I bought this body lotion after hearing great things about it. I have the White Musk perfume in another scent but I was drawn to this lotion after I tried it on my hands. The smell is heavenly, and the lotion blends in really well. I'm running out of the Vera Wang body lotion I use so I was on the lookout for another, and this is just what I was looking for!

Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner (£4.69)

I've been curling my hair a lot recently and I've noticed the ends have really dried out. I wanted a conditioner that would get rid of the dryness. I've heard good things about Aussie hair care so I wanted to give one of their products a try. This does exactly what I've been looking for so hopefully it will live up to expectation!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (£8.99)

My Max Factor Xperience foundation ran out so I initially went into Boots to look for it but it's been discontinued! I know this is a really popular foundation so I thought I'd give it a try to see what all the fuss is about. I got it in Ivory, which I believe is the lightest shade.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser (£4.99)

My face has been so oily lately, it's usually oily in Summer but dry in Winter but this year it seems to have reversed. I'm always rushing around at work so that might have something to do with it. I wanted an oil-free moisturiser and I was tempted by the smell of this one!

much love,
Cally

    1. I've only used it today but it's good so far! It's quite thick so you have to rub it in lots but it gives really good coverage :) xx

    1. I heard this but I don't think it's glittery at all! Maybe after I use it more I'll notice it xx

  4. I've really liked the look of the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, but apparently it's really glittery? I'm not sure if people mean its an illuminating foundation, rather than glittery. I would love it if you reviewed it though! :)

    1. Now I've used it more I kinda get why people would think its glittery but it's not massively obvious. I will definitely review it after I've worn it for a while longer :) xx

    1. I know! I had no idea until I went into Boots on Sunday :( Thank you! I was reading a book called The Night Circus when I was deciding and I liked the sound of Clothes Circus because I own too many clothes and I work in a clothes shop. My life is pretty much full of clothes haha xx

  6. Aussie shampoo always gets a thumbs up from me! Not usually a fan of the white musk smell, but the body shop always delivers on good moisturiser.

    Hmm maybe...

  7. Aussie really impressed me when I used it, I'm one of them people who will say 'if it works on my hair, it will work on anyone's!', I'm glad you liked it. It's one of them with me where the smell will last right through blow drying and straightening :) X
