After going out for my birthday I was incredibly hungover. When I'm in that state only 2 things can help me: food and a Red Berry cooler from Costa. As it's a Friday you may be heading out tonight, unless you're like me and trying to save money for what you know will be an expensive February. So here's a few of my hangover cures...

FASHION TRENDS OF THE MOMENT

Lately I've noticed clothing brands really pushing their trends for 2014. It's all very similar so I wanted to find out more about the key pieces this season. I've narrowed the trends down to four: dropped waist dresses, monochrome, stripes and gingham. 

REVIEW | SOAP & GLORY LOVED & GLOSSED SET

You should all know how much I adore Soap & Glory products - I go on about it enough, and it's become a running joke with my family about how many of their products I own. For Christmas, my parents bought me a gift set with 3 of their gloss sticks - Nudist, Fuchsia-Ristic and Plum Jam. Here's my opinion on them.

WHY ANGORA SHOULDN'T BE IN YOUR WARDROBE

When buying clothes do you consider where the fabric is from? I didn't until I began working in a clothes shop last year. Angora was all the rage last year and we had many jumpers made of the material. It was only until I did my research that I found out about the horror behind making these jumpers and obtaining the wool from Angora rabbits. Some of what I'm going to talk about may be upsetting so please don't read on if you don't want to see distressing images.

EMPTIES (OR NEARLY EMPTY)

I've seen so many people do blog posts or videos on empties. Technically, these aren't empty but I'd probably forget to take a photo when they're properly empty! I've actually featured all these on favourite posts before, and that explains why they are nearly all used up.

HAULIN'

Surprise, surprise - I went shopping again. I may have a tiny addiction to shopping for clothes, especially when the January sales hit. I actually bought this stuff two weeks ago so I've been good since then! Yet again, I only went into Topshop and New Look. We already know I'm obsessed with Topshop, and New Look's sale is pretty amazing.

LIFE POST #10 | MY 22ND BIRTHDAY

I turned 22 yesterday so I thought I'd tell you what I got up to this week. I spent the weekend in Southampton, as you might know if you've read my other posts, and spent yesterday with Sam. I'm most definitely feeling 22...(8 years until I'm 30 - that's a scary thought).

It's my birthday today! I'm currently catching up on Celebrity Big Brother (I know, I'm just too cool) but later I'm going to the cinema with Sam then having a bite to eat at Wagamama. The photos above are from my birthday night out on Saturday!

I'm back! I didn't blog at all last week for a number of reasons - I was going through a lot of personal things and I had zero inspiration or motivation. Spending the weekend away in Southampton has helped me massively, I got to spend Saturday night with my closest friends for my 22nd birthday (it's tomorrow) and have lovely nights in with my boyfriend. After the seriousness of yesterday's post I thought I'd give you something more lighthearted today - a review of Soap & Glory's mascara. I've been using it for a week or so but I'm already very impressed. I'll give you a general overview then some pros and cons of the mascara.

URBAN OUTFITTERS | THE CONTROVERSY

I'm going to admit something that might seem a little controversial given the circumstances: I love Urban Outfitters. It's one of my favourite places to shop - I may not necessarily be able to afford a lot of it but it's somewhere I get a lot of my clothes from. However, recently I've come to consider whether the brand is worth investing in.

JOHN FRIEDA SHEER BLONDE SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER AND HAIRSPRAY

I'm not one for talking about hair care on this blog, mainly because I know nothing about taking care of my hair! Recently, I got inches taken off and that's pretty much my idea of keeping my hair healthy. I do use conditioner to soften the ends but I use whatever shampoo my mum/dad has bought that week. For Christmas my brother bought me a mini John Frieda set and it's amazing!

BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION

I want to share with you a product I've been loving right now. After my favourite foundation was discontinued I turned to Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation. I liked it at first but soon it was obvious that it didn't agree with my skin as I suffered from breakouts. This is where Bourjois' Healthy Mix Foundation came in!

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a lovely celebration! I had a takeaway, watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer and went to a couple of pubs with my boyfriend. I'm not a massive fan of New Year, however I want to share with you a OOTD (outfit of the day) and FOTD (face of the day).

CLOTHES HAUL | TOPSHOP AND NEW LOOK

What better way to kick off 2014 than with a clothes haul! I hit the sales after Christmas and bought a few bits and bobs. A few of these, mainly the Topshop items, are full price but I can never seem to find anything in their sale that I really like. New Look's sale, however, was on top form and I spent little money for really nice bits.
